Columbus Day
Christopher Columbus is an Italian man who made made 4 trips and left his mark in the world, from Spain and across the Atlantic Ocean in search of a water route west from Europe and Asia but he didn’t accidentally stumbled into the Americas. When he arrived he didn’t discover the New World because there were people living in the America’s. Columbus day was named after Christopher Columbus himself, and this say shows or represents the day that he discovered the Americas.
My thoughts and feelings: I honestly still don’t understand the purpose and what Columbus day is but all i really know that he was known for traveling or discovering the Americas.
